On the 7th of March 2008, Bishop Kiganda together with a team went to the Christianity Focus Grammer School in Budaali where they gave the children shoes, some of who where getting their first ever pair of shoes thanks to HOLEY SOLES HOLDINGS Ltd and the FAMILY OF GATES OF DOMINION CHURCH.

The Uganda needy kids of Christianity Focus Grammar School- Budaali, on 7th March 2008 almost fainted for Joy when their Director “Bishop David Kiganda” arrived at the school at around 2:00pm with his vehicle trunk full of what the kids called miracles of the season.
The trunk was full of hundreds of pairs of shoes donated by Gates Of Dominion church in collaboration with an American based Shoe Company known as “Holey Soles Holdings LTD.

The school which is situated in one of Uganda’s districts called Luwero triangle, which in the past was greatly affected by the liberation wars. Due to the loss of many lives in this area because of HIV, a large number of orphans and widows were left helpless and this compelled Bishop David Kiganda

On his arrival at the school, accompanied by a team of his associate Pastors, the Bishop was warmly welcomed by the school staff and children amidst great applause, full of excitement while clapping their hands.

After introducing the visitors, the school headmaster Mr. Simon Mwesigwa invited the Bishop to address the applauding children. The Bishop begun by asking all the children to stand up and have a word of prayer led by one of their fellow pupils.

Addressing the children Bishop David encouraged them to study very hard since it’s the only way they would become useful people for God and for the society. He went ahead to ask the children about what they wanted to become in future, and he got the following answers:-“…Bishop we want to become Lawyers, Engineers, Teachers, doctors, pastors, Presidents, to mention but a few...”.

In his speech he informed the children that Education is vital to their lives and that it’s a ladder they would climb to reach the top or to be successful.

More so he told them about his visit to the U.S.A, where God joined him to friends who love children and who also knew a shoe company known as Holey soles holding limited, who donated three pallets of shoes totaling 390 pairs of shoes. The acquisition of these miracle shoes, seamed to be an answer to the kids long time desperate prayer.

During the exercise of giving out the Holeys, Bishop David with his team and the school staff helped to fit the children with the holeys and the whole school population was all covered with the blue shoes.

At the function, the Bishop dressed a young child who shed tears of joy, just because it was his very first time in his life to put on a pair of shoes.

According to the headmaster, 95% of the children were receiving a pair of shoes for their very first time and they thanked the Holey soles holding Ltd for the Samaritan work done, protecting them from sharp stones and other items which would hurt their bare feet.

The children sent their sincere bunch of thanks to the Bishop having made kind and wonderful friends in Christ who would make their lives happy by changing their situation. They so much thanked and appreciated the Holey soles holding Ltd for the great work done.

At the end of the function, the children prayed for the Holey soles holdings Ltd and in their prayer they asked God to bless the company with abundant increase, prosperity and expansion through out the whole world.

Long live Holey soles, long live Gates of Dominion, Long Live Bishop David Kiganda.
