According to statistics done by the Uganda Bureau Of Statistics, 87% of the Uganda population are Christians, the country Motto is “For God and My Country” further attests to the fact that Uganda is a God fearing country. It is in this regard that an Annual National Prayer Day event is organized at the end of every year to thank God for the past year and to dedicate the people and the nation into God’s hands at the onset of a new year. This event attracts people of all walks of life from Uganda and abroad as well as foreign Spiritual leaders which promotes a holistic understanding and awareness of Uganda, its people, culture, history and relationship with God. The National prayer Day event is organized by Christianity Focus centre, 93 Kingdom FM and the National Fellowship for Born-again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda which is a faith based umbrella/Unity organization with over 25,000 member Pentecostal churches. Like the last six years, the event will take place in Nakivubo Stadium on 31st December, 2012 from 11.00am all through the night to the morning of January 1st 2013 and over 70,000 people are expected to attend in person though over 9,000,000 people will join us by radio i.e 93 KINGDOM FM which will broadcast the event live.
